Blanche Gadson was sthe daughter of Isabell Pinckney Gadson and Acie Gadson, Sr. She was born February 5, 1932 in Ridgeland, SC, and was the oldest of eight children.

Sister Gadson attended Good Hope School in Ridgeland, SC and East Broad School in Savannah, GA. She also attended nursing school in Charleston, SC. Sister Gadson was a member of the Second Euhaw Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a door keeper in the Father's house.

She especially loved cooking, sewing, gardening, and she had a great affinity for animals.

Sister Gadson worked at Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island, SC unti lher health failed. Among her many attributes her family will remember her for, Sister Blanche will be remembered for is being the greatest mother and grandmother ever. She is missed by all who knew and loved her.

On Thursday, April 19, 2012, Sister Blanche Gadson entered into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Ervin Gadson and Perman Gadson; two sisters, Ressie Lee Gadson and Geraldine Gadson Ervin; four brothers, Williams Gadson, Ben Gadson, Albert Gadson and Charles Gadson.

Beautiful memories will be cherished by: her brother, Acie Gadson, jr. of Charleston, SC; her two daughters, Beerly Ann Gadson of Ridgeland, SC and Dorothea of Savannah, GA; five granchildren, Virgil L. Gadson, Rashid M. Aiken, Sade D. Willis of Savannah, GA and Gabriel Gadson and Pertesia Gadson, both of Minnesota; special friends, hannah Nelson, Geraldine Bright, Sadie Bolden, the Woods Family, the O'Quinn Family, Florrie Young, Ms. Ernestine, Ms. Lula, Mary Green, Edna Jenkins, and a host of nieces and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Blanche Gadson were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Second Euhaw Baptist Church in Ridgeland, SC. Burial was in Wrightfield Cemetery in Ridgeland. Arrangements were by Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland.
