Benjamin Rivers Obituary

Benjamin F. Rivers,74, of Ridgeland entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at his home surrounded by love. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.

 

Mr. Benjamin F. Rivers was the son of the late William Chico and Beatrice Rivers. He was born on December 26, 1946, in Jasper County. He attended the Jasper county school system. His entire life was spent in Ridgeland, SC. He attended St Stephens United Methodist Church. Ben was a dedicated, professional, reliable painter who was sought out by many. He adored and loved his family. Ben was very humorous. He loved watching his westerns and listening to his soul music. He was joined in holy matrimony in 1971 to Alinda King Rivers. To their union, four children were born.
On Tuesday, May 11, 2021, Ben reached out to the Lord and he has welcomed him into His arms he passed peacefully with his family members at his side. He was preceded in death by his daughter Katina Linelle Rivers, his son Lionel Deval Rivers, and brother William Bill Rivers.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his Loving wife Alinda King Rivers of Ridgeland, SC three daughters Pamela (Reginald) Smalls, Katrina (Dwight) Wallace of Lorton Virginia, Kimberly (Martin Sr.) Roberson, of Ridgeland, SC; three sons Benjamin Wright of Jacksonville FL, Treavor (Yaderis) Graham of New York, Rashid Davis of New York. 13 grandchildren 3 great grands; one special nephew as a son Timothy Rivers; like a niece LaHoma Scott, and Jacquelin Scott, One aunt, Isabelle Holmes of White Plains, NY; one uncle Wilson Rivers of Ridgeland, SC; sisters in law Ruth Adams, Curlie DuPont, Mary Frazier, Mary Lou Rivers; brother in law Emanuel Simmons, of Ridgeland, SC, Victor Garcia of Puerco; one special cousin Shirley Hector, Mary Palmer, Dwight Ford, Deborah (Curtis) Patterson, Larry Gadson, Roger Rivers, Wilson Scott; special friends Clara Youmans, Ruth Ann Beaton, Joseph Holmes, Easaw Patterson, Johnnie Green, Alice Graves, and Betty Garvin like a godmother; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
