Mr. Stephen Leonard Edwards AKA “Cripp” was born on February 6, 1961 in Bluffton, SC to the late Annie Mae Howard and Mr. Matthew Givens. He received his formal education in the Beaufort County Public School System. Throughout the years, he was a restaurant worker and was also employed by the Bluffton Oyster Company.
On Wednesday October 21, 2015, Stephen was called home to rest, after a short stay at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, SC. He was preceded in death by his mother Annie Mae Howard.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his father Matthew (Mamie) Givens of Jersey City, NJ, his aunt Elnora Smith of Bluffton, SC, three sisters; Lashonda Givens of Jersey City, NJ, Canzator Campbell of Jacksonville, FL and Alane Ferrell, of Jacksonville, FL; three brothers, Robbi Garden of Atlanta, GA, Ronald Holland of Savannah, GA, Matthew Givens, Jr. of Jersey City, NJ. And a host of aunts, uncles, neices, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends, Dedra White, Garretta Rowland and Julie Jones.
