    Mr. Phillip E. Jamison was the son of Mr. Raleigh and Mrs. Mary Maloney Jamison. He was born on November 23, 1937 in Colleton County. At an early age, he was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church.
    Phillip quietly slept away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 7:00am at his home in Florence, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nadine Jamison-Lowery, Arlene Barnes-Noil, and Carolyn Jamison-Brown; brothers, Charles Jamison, John R. Jamison, Arthurette R. Jamison. 
Phillip met the love of his life Jessie Mae Williams and they resided in Washington, D.C. for 20 years before returning to Florence, South Carolina.
    He leaves to cherish his memories; six sisters, Anglee Buckner of Hampton, SC, Thelma L. Matthews, Mary M. Tilery of Killeen, TX, Hearthden Montogomery, Alma Patricia Pendergast of Detriot, MI, Missiour Harley of Walterboro, SC; one brother, Lafayette Jamison (Madina) of Atlanta, GA; three step sons, James Thompson, Bruce Williams, and LaNaris Thompson, of Florence, SC; three sisters in law, Theola (Lindburgh), Pencicola (Cleveland), and Mary McDaniel; six brothers in law, Christopher, Sr. (Laverne), Carvin (Barbara), Arlington (Dalaine), Andrew (Lonia), James and Laverne Nowlin, all of Florence, SC; he has one special niece, Mattie Jamison Lowery; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members.
