Leslie Lapreca Garden “Essie”, daughter of Annette Garden was born August 4, 1979 in Walterboro, SC. She entered her life of rest on December 4, 2016 at Medical University of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her brother, Sanford Garden
She was educated at Walterboro High School and attended NJROTC also at the high school. She enter Job Corps in 1996.
At an early age, she joined Piney Grove Baptist Church and served faithfully until she joined New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. James Grant, Sr., “Essie” accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and serve in the house of the Lord until her health failed. She will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her mother, Annette Garden of Hinesville, GA; her daughter, Quadejah Latifah Dubios; her newly arrived grandson, Jah’De Dominique Trusedale; son in law to be, Richard Trusedale all of Walterboro, SC; two sisters, Ebony Garden and Chevante Garden both of Hinesville, GA; brother, Jacobee Garden of Walterboro, SC; two nephews, Jaa’Vonte Garden and Parris Garden both of Hinesville, GA; seven aunts, her second mom, Bobbie Garden-Dailey (Harry), Robin Garden (Fred), both of Walterboro, SC, Sade Garden of Rock-away, NY, Annette Murray of Garden City, GA, Ann Garden, Sandra Garden both of Milwaukee Wisconsin and Sheila Martin of Virginia; five uncles, Stanley Garden (Tonya) of Walterboro, SC, Roger Garden (Elnita) of Gaffney, SC, Spanford Garden (Sharon) of Hinesville, GA, Sanford Garden, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY and Bernard Garden of Milwaukee Wisconsin; seven great aunts, Grace Kelly, Glenda Kelly, Laura Kelly, Victoria Kelly, Rebecca Kelly, Johnnie Mae Kelly and Diane Kelly all of Walterboro, SC; six great uncles, Billy Kelly, Joseph Kelly, Harris Kelly, Ronald Kelly (Shalonda) Donald Kelly all of Walterboro, SC and Thomas Kelly (Von) of Columbia, SC; extended family, Diane Delee, Ernest Fishburne (Patrica), Eli Fishburne (Katie), John Fishburne, Charles Fishburne and Susie Doctor; two special cousins, Dionne Frasier and Kenya Kelly; one special crazy cousin, James Graham; one special devoted friend, Sedic Pinckney; best friend, Tonya Smith of Atlanta, GA; along with a host of blended sisters and brothers.
