Ella Louise Green Jenkins was born September 6, 1944 in Big Estate, SC to the late Earnest Green and Eloise Jenkins.
Ella moved to Bronx, New York where she attended the local public school and in 1962 she graduated from Walton High School. Ella later met and married Wilber Jenkins they had a beauty life together. Ella worked in the medical field in New York for many years. After relocating back to Big Estate, SC, she worked at River Oaks Residential Care in Port Royal, SC as a CNA for 12 years until her retirement in 2010.
She was a member of Angels on Earth Ministries for 14 years where she faithfully served as President of the Mothers Board, President of the Usher Board and First Coordinator for Children Program. Ella was very loyal to the ministry she was always a comfort to all including Bishop & Pastor Frazier.
On Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her residence Ella Louise Green Jenkins was called to rest. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers and her husband, Wilber Jenkins.
Ella leaves to cherish her unforgettable memories: one daughter, Melissa (Robert) Brown of Bluffton, SC; granddaughter, Ceara Brown of Bluffton, SC; three brothers, Joseph Ferguson of Patterson, NJ, Richard (Vivian) Gardner and Benjamin Green all of Big Estates; four sisters, Evangelist Rosa M. Wimbush “RoRo”, Deloris (Dave) Wilson, Deloris Jenkins and Deborah Green all of Big Estates; very special nephew, who was like a son, Deacon Darel Jenkins of Big Estates; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, to include a very special friend, Ms. Verna B. of Bronx, NY.
